  • Updated existing groupings of claims codes utilized by the featurizer of a cost prediction model in an effort to create a more accurate and precise model.

  • Created various scripts and workflows to automate the update process for quicker and more effective updates in the future. 

  • Curated design documents for the creation, validation, and experimentation of new code groupings aiming to reduce duplicate features and decrease dimensionality. 

  • Implemented the groupings and utilized Google Cloud Platform to run experiments with the cost prediction model on a dataset of six million patients’ claims records.

  • Authored a passage about the history of the Civilian Conservation Corps’ Camp Hadley in Madison, CT for display on a campsite plaque in conjunction with an effort to restore the camp. Recognized by the town of Madison at a Board of Education meeting.

  • Volunteered as a member of the Teen Advisory Group, creating programs such as Reading Buddies, which gave teenagers the opportunity to read to younger children and Teen Tech Help, which provided senior citizens with help for their electronic devices.

  • Assisted in shelving books, contributing ideas for activities for the summer reading program and providing suggestions for new library material.

  • Organized books, lifted tables and boxes of books as part of a set-up and clean-up for the Friends of Scranton Annual Used Book Sale.
