Howdy! I grew up in Madison, Connecticut, but my desire for new adventures landed me in San Diego, California.  I am currently working to earn my Bachelor of Science in Data Science at University of California, San Diego. I’ve been involved in the professional world since I was sixteen and worked in a high class restaurant in my hometown. I learned important skills including effective communication and how to function efficiently in a collaborative work environment. Through my enrollment at UCSD, I’ve begun to expand my knowledge on data structures and statistical analysis. I’ve worked closely with fellow students on multiple projects including collecting and cleaning data on vehicle collisions and police stops in San Diego to analyze trends in geographical regions and investigate potential bias. My recent role as a researcher at Acuant ignited my passion in data capture and identity authentication. I am eager to learn more about advanced topics such as Deep Neural Networks, computer vision, and image processing and apply them to a role in the identity authentication field.
